Have you heard Tarja Turenen's solo stuff at all? I liked Nightwish with her on vocals.

I have to be honest, I haven't listened to alot of their new stuff. I guess they only got the one album with Anette?

I own Wishmaster, Over the Hills and Far Away, Century Child and Once. Century Child and Once are probably my favorite albums. Her voice is amazing. Plus it sounds so good with that duo on Phantom of the Opera.

I have all four albums you listed...plus Ocean Born and the newest Dark Passion Play. Anette does a good job but not near a wonderful as Tarja. My fave song has got to be Sleeping Sun off of Ocean Born.

Oh I forgot that one. I hvae Ocean Born too. I don't have the new one or their first demo or whatever.
Speaking of female vocalists, do you like Arch Enemy at all? I'm anxious to hear their new album, but not sure when it comes out.

Honestly, Burning Bridges is my favorite album, before Angela Gaslow or whatever joined.

    When I'm trying to get pumped up for a game, I immediately plug my iPod into my stereo, crank it up, and listen to following, while getting ready;

    Pantera
    The Casualties
    System of a Down
    Rancid
    Dropkick Murphys
    Motorhead
    Hatebreed

(My poor neighbors. hah) These bands are harder music and have to require the taste for that sort of music, but it really helps get my adrenaline going and I suddenly have a burst of energy to get out there and kick some serious booty on the track.

Mmm-mm-mm!!!! Loving that list. Throw a bit of Kamelot, little Demons & Wizards and some Symphony X in there and I'm in power metal heaven.

And Clutch, for some cool rock-blues

I agree about the System of a Down, but their song "Bounce" really gets me wanting to run around all crazy. I have a "Derby Day" playlist wish consists of the following:

    "F'in Hostile" - Pantera
    "Walk" - Pantera
"On the Front Line" - The Casualties
"Scarred For Life" - The Casualties
"Reality TV" - Rat City Riot
"Rat City Riots" - Rat City Riot
"Bounce" - System of a Down
"Up To No Good" - Rancid
    "Barroom Hero" - Dropkick Murphys
    "Set Your Goals" - CIV
    "Soundtrack For Violence" - CIV
"Can't Wait One Minute More" - CIV
    "Blackheart" - The Distillers
    "Old Scratch" - The Distillers
    "Time To Heal" - Floorpunch
    "Proven" - Hatebreed
    "Smash Your Enemies" - Hatebreed

There is more, but this is all that I could think of for now.

Give Up The Ghoest - Background Music
    Bleeding Through - The Truth
    Sepultura- Arise
    Throwdown - Venom & Tears
    actually anything from Throwdown.

Throwdown is really good. Sepultura was my band of choice my sophmore year of high school, until I discovered the Gorilla Biscuits and that's about the time my love of hardcore music came into play. However, I don't run, I skate. Continuously. About 5 days a week from anywhere from 1.5 hours at a time to 5 hours at a time. In circles, while knocking other girls down. On "game days" I need music that will get my adrenaline going and most loud & fast past music will do it.

I used to skateboard regularly, now that I'm older, my knee's and ankles just don't operate like they used to. But on my birthday (May22) every year...its like a ritual. We all go out, skate all night and listen to Sepultura albums. Its the best time ever.

I wanted to see that Gorilla Biscuits reunion the other year, but it sold out before I could even think about gettin tickets.
