length of exercise ?

I've just recently started exercising with a stair-climber, so I can only do 5 minutes or so at a time, then I need to rest my legs. My question is, if I do it in "sets" 5 minutes at a time, does it matter how I enter the exercise into my diary? If I do 20 minutes total, vs. four 5-minute workouts? Just curious...
