BodyMedia Freak Out - Could mine me broken?

So, I ordered a BodyMedia Fit and it arrived yesterday afternoon. I charged that baby up and strapped it on around 9pm last night.

I just synced it up, and it says my TDEE for the day is 1916... and it's only 5:45 PM here. I've been estimating my TDEE at around 1700. So now, I'm starting to think maybe I got an inaccurate device?

I ran for 25 minutes this morning and speed-walked another 45 minutes before work. Granted, I was on my feet running around a good bit at work today - my pedometer says I did 10.4 miles including my morning run/walk.

Still, can this possibly be right? People have always told me I had a fast metabolism, but damn!

That seems pretty average to me? Maybe even a little low because of how active you are

My BMR is calculated at 1233, so that just seemed shockingly high! Plus, people on here are often telling me that I eat way too many calories because they say that activity level is only lightly active.

Bumping this for the Saturday crowd.

Now that I've synced it up, it says I burned 2510 total calories for the day yesterday. I'm 5'2", 115 lbs. Do cardio for 30 minutes a day in the mornings, then usually log 5-10 miles of walking around each day.

    Does 2510 calories sound right?

That sounds right. I was surprised by how many calories I burned on a low activity day. If you walked that much and you did cardio, then that is definitely close to correct! Give it a few days to see what you average. I've had great success with mine.

It really is eye opening to see how many calories one actually burns. I was surprised when I first got mine as well. But I am losing consistantly so it is working for me.
