My new obstacle...Power Tower

Some have asked me what a power tower was so I decided to post a pic. I say its my next obstacle because I have always wanted to be able to do pull-ups but always just felt I wasn't strong enough and probably never would be. Since losing a good amount of weight and completing Insanity I now feel that if I want it and work for it, that I WILL get it.
My goal for end of summer is to do 10 wide grip pull-ups without assistance. Currently I can do NONE!
Not sure if that goal is too ambitous but I'm aiming for the moon on this one, so if I don't make it I can at least land on the stars.
Today was the second circuit I did centered around it and I can do 5 unassisted close grip ones with 10 assisted wide ones. But we shall see how it goes. I also threw in some dips and push-ups to get a well rounded workout but ultimately its the pull-ups I want to master.

just an idea for ya
deck of cards workout
hearts- pullups
diamonds-pushups
clubs-bodyweight squats
spades- floor wipers
shuffle the deck
10-king are 10 reps
2-9 are face value reps
aces are 11 reps
if you run jokers are a mile
so flip a card....queen of hearts do 10 pullups
next card- 7 of clubs do 7 squats
and so on and so on until you go through the deck
use assistance on the pullups when needed0 -

That sounds insane but I may have to try that one day.0 -
We just got one of those for our home gym. My goal is to do one pull up, anyway I can.
Good luck!0 -
you can pick any exercise for the suits
typically we do
1)man makers ( with db's on floor, do a pushup, row right db up,pushup again, row left db up,pushup again, jump up and press db overhead...thats one rep) some do a lunge after the press
2)knees to elbows-while hanging lift knees to your elbows
3)pushups
4)burpees
but pick whatever you can do
its 96 reps per suit plus the 2 mile run0 -
Ohhh that's what it is! Thanks now I want one!0
