I have been doing great with working out and eating well. My social life is amazing.....but.........
(College student)----This year I decided to take 18hrs. I have done it before but it seemed so much easier. I have always been an A and B student. Recently even though I study,(apparently not enought), I have gotten low C's and I just failed my STATISTICS test. Its the beggining of semester and I know that I will most likely get my grades up. BUT failing that test today was a big slap in the face. I feel like I have let my self down.
On top of all that schoolwork I have a job. I basically put my self through school. I am a president of a student org. on campus. I volunteer. Even though I live away at school, I go back hoime twice a month to take care of family matters because my family relies on me........ There is not enough time in a day to do everything I want to or need. I just fell liek I am ready to explode.:explode: I am always stressed out... and it seems like everyone around me is burdened with their problems............
I guess I just feel like a need for a rant!!!!!!Agggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

We all feel overwhelmed at times. Maybe take a look at what extra activities you can cut out for just a while. Make sure you take care of yourself so that you can be at your best. I understand about needing to take care of others and how demanding it can be. Give yourself a mental health day. Be careful to keep eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep. That will make a big difference.
We all need to vent sometimes - so go right ahead! It is better to let it out! :flowerforyou:0 -
Sounds like you have a lot on your plate. Is there any way to maybe take away some of the duties that you do? Maybe drop a class (I know you want to finish quickly, but better to go slower and thrive then to go faster and struggle), or ratchet back one of your extra curriculars? Stress is a big problem today for a lot of people, and prolonged stress can have some pretty serious consequenses on your health. Be careful, make sure you get enough sleep and exercise. And make sure you have fun! Fun is the best stress reliever there is (well... besides the one other thing that I know of...I think you all know what I'm saying here).0

I don't know if you are a christian or not... I am though.. And in times like this I go to my Bible for help and the first verse that came to mind for me with your situation is "Psa 94:13 You [LORD] give them relief from troubled times..." I'm not sure if you believe in God or not, or maybe are against Him, but that's just what came to mind with me.
When i'm in situations like this I bring it to God. Just tell him how I'm feeling and ask him to take them away from me. Meh... but everyone believes something different.0 -
Hang in there you'll come out on top of it after you've vented enough steam. Don't let the statistics exam get you down -- statistics sucked when I took it a long time ago and it sounds like it still does if that's any compensation. There is life after statistics!
Just step back, take a deep breath, yell at the top of your lungs, have drink and start working things one day at a time. :drinker:0 -
I ended up with a D in stats...and I still finished my undergrad with a good gpa.
Don't stress too much, the pressure can feel overwhelming.
When I was in my undergrad, my mom used to say to me...it's only thirteen weeks...you can do ANYTHING for thirteen (or twelve, or eleven, or ten...) weeks.
Hang in there, you can do anything!0 -
you will make it through this! i was in the same boat my senior year of college...20 credit hours every quarter, working 40 hrs a week, taking care of family, a boyfriend, trying to go to the gym on a regular basis. it can all be very overwhelming!!!!! i'm a big believer in the saying "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and this time in your life will definitely make you a stronger person in the long run!
try to relax and hang in there!!!!
