anyone else have hernia after abd. surgery?

I got diagnosed today with a hernia in my upper abdomen. I've had several abdominal surgeries, including open heart surgery, in the past several yrs. and now I have a HERNIA. It hurts and it is bulging, but my surgeon doesn't want to do anything right now, unless I become nauseated and start vomiting. In that case it's an emergency. I see him again next month unless things get worse. The good news is that it is okay for me to return to my workouts.

The thing is that I am a little worried because I don't know what to expect and I don't like pain. I will take one day at a time and see what happins.
