how to slim down thighs?

I have started running about 2 miles a day, but I think that my thighs are simply building muscle and have started to become huge. I want slender thighs and legs! What are the best exercises to do for this?

    I think some good stretching exercises, something like pilates or yoga can help elongate the muscles or so I hear - can't vouch for it myself.

    You cannot spot reduce. When you start training, your muscles become more obvious (but you don't necessarily gain muscle) which makes your thighs seem larger because they have a layer of fat over muscle.

    The way you slim down thighs is to eat at a deficit while you train. Lowering body fat % will make you leaner overall, including your thighs. I speak from experience because I seem to lose fat from my thighs after I've lost every where else. It can be done, but it takes time and patience.
