Any stories of getting disrespected?

I was enjoying a nice Friday evening run with my friend and we hit 2.1 miles. We decided to meet up with my girlfriend to go at a local boba place (Asian Fusion / Tapioca Pearls)

We were about to walk in and some random guy (mid 40s) just got off the bus. I couldn't understand what he was saying and my friend and g/f just ignored him. Normally I ignore these people who looks like they are about to pick a fight or ask for some change. So instead he gets closer to my girlfriend (I'm behind her, my friend is on my g/fs left side near the door). Now I'm at the "WTF", you're getting too close.

So he says " HEY GIRL LET ME HAVE A HUG, YOU GIRL LET ME GET A HUG"..blah blah blah.. Oh..now I felt like he was disrespecting her. I confront him and said "WTF did you just say?". I have a very short temper when women are disrespected but with everything else, I can hold in and control. My adrenaline is pumped and he says something like he's trying to make a friend and wants her. We exchange words and I said so much things I don't even remember, it happened so fast.

The guy drops his jacket, backs away and now starts cussing at me. By this time my girlfriend has no idea what's going on and my friend literally drags me by my shirt in the cafe to cool me off. The guy backs away and then I see a bright light with sirens. I was already inside and the cops just pulled to the side and started speaking to him. I could hear from the outside that he's pissed off.

That's how my Friday went. I'm just happy nothing happened and my girlfriend thought I was taking it way too far when I could have ignored it too. I look back at it and I felt maybe I should have just ignored it, but also it felt good to step up and get the d-bag away. No one does that around me

Any similar stories?

Oh man, that guy was obviously nuts and a sexist pig who probably thinks women are pieces of flesh that he's entitled to.

I think you did a great thing by standing up for her dignity. She should be grateful.

I was alone when this guy stopped me, when I was in Berlin in a central area, and started talking to me for some promotion, and I said I don't speak German. He then started cutting my way to stop me from walking, and asked me where I'm from. I told him I'm from Ukraine, and then he started telling me that maybe I should get with him because he thinks I'd be very good for him, and him very good for me. I told him I have a boyfriend (which is true), and he kept insisting. I insisted with that too, until he gave up and said that he can respect that. LOL I really wanted to punch him. I hate these western guys who have absolutely no respect for Eastern European women and treat us like pieces of meat and expect us to jump in the sack at the clap of their hands. Like...Really?!
