Bad food choices

I have been dieting for about a month now and have lost 19 lbs. I try to eat healthy foods but usually in the evening is when i start craving and wanting the foods high in calories and fat and I usually end up eating them then regretting it afterwards. Does anyone else have the same problem?

I do, I have coffee after dinner with sugar it is sweet so it fills that void. I know I am an evening eater so I save 2-300 calories for after dinner. Not the best time to eat but I can't change every bad habit over night.0

Find a healthier alternative for one of the snacks you crave in the evenings. List a few here and seen if we can help you come up with some ideas.0

Yes. I eat about 2 tbs of peanut butter instead. It usually does the trick0

I budget calories on a specific snack--I've mentioned them in the past, but I make creamy coffee popsicles that I CRAVE. If I wake up on a hot day, I know I'll probably want one in the evening, so I add it first thing to my diary and all day I know I can look forward to it later, guilt-free. And if for some reason I don't end up wanting it, I can either have another snack (because those calories were saved!) or just decide to leave the deficit.
Nothing says you have to enter foods as you eat them. Do the same thing if you're going out to dinner or a party. And for goodness' sake, don't deny yourself something!! If you have something you love eating and just can't get bear to go without it, try to work it into your day. I have found that some things I loved just aren't worth the huge amount of calories they take away from my day. You'll start to see the things that matter and don't matter after a while.0 -
I’m a firm believer in not punishing yourself for the sake of a goal. While working towards my weight goal I would still enjoy one of my favorite treats in the evening, chocolate chip ice cream, and as long as I was making headway I didn’t feel the least bit guilty.0
