i just have a quick question! When I'm logging my exercise I use the calories it tells my by default on my fitness pal when in pull up elliptical trainer. Is that always a generic number that is the same for every person based on time? Or does MVP take in account my weight. My elliptical doesn't have any weight-loss programs I always have to manually adjust the resistance etc. What my elliptical says for burning calories and Mfp are big differences. But I would assume my elliptical calories are based on the ideal type of person that it was manufactured for. I would also assume a heavier person would potentially burn more calories if two ppl were going the same speed??anyways I am on the fence about consuming my exercise calories and if I chose too I want an accurate gauge on how many.......perhaps a pedometer is my best bet?

Mfp takes your weight into account but can't know your intensity. For an accurate burn invest in a heart rate monitor like polar. A pedometer just measures steps0
