Hi Pals,

I'm looking for different food options, so I can plan & make better choices of what I eat.

Was wondering if you guys have replacements foods you use that you ENJOY and are GOOD for you (low calorie, low sugar)

Look forward to reading your replies.

Thanks,

Loozin

You can eat whatever you want. You just can't eat however much of it you want.
  • That is very true. Eat things in moderation

I haven't really 'replaced' foods so much as I started eating less of the foods I have always liked. I love cheese so I still eat it. The full fat version. I just eat less of it. I eat Greek yogurt. I like it, some people hate it. I have cut down on foods that contain wheat, but that's more because I'm sensitive to wheat and less about weight loss. I've upped my protein consumption with protein shakes. I still drink 2% milk because it's so delicious.

So for me, it's more about portion control than replacement.

But you can certainly replace most everything with something lower in calories.
i.e. find a lower calorie bread
switch from 2% milk to skim
switch from full fat cheese, cottage cheese, etc. to reduced fat
    eat steak instead of hamburger
    eat chicken instead of steak
    etc.

**Edit.... PS the easiest way to reduce calories, fat, and sugar is to load your diet with veggies.

I LOVE low fat mozzarella cheese sticks from Market Basket. I find them delicious and the ones I eat have only 70 cals per stick. Plus I pick them apart strand by strand so it takes a long time to eat... overall it can help slow down my intake if I'm feeling impulsive
