has anyone else lost weight and they are having trouble adjusting to their new body shape/size? i have lost quite a bit and have dropped many sizes, but i still "feel" like my older, bigger size. i go to try on clothes and inevitably choose a size or two too large. i was looking at my friend and commenting on how great she looks (we are the same height) and she told me her weight - same as my weight! i honestly thought she looked much much smaller than i do. i just wonder how long it takes our minds to come around to the "new" us?

I have lost a total of 80lbs and I have the same problem. I guess we just can't see ourselves correctly ha but we need to. We should be proud of our hard work but I still feel like a fat girl even at a size 8 :(

Me too. I'm a size 8 now (well, a UK 12 as i'm in England) and I still automatically reach for the UK 16s even though I know they'd be huge on me.

I see photos of myself sometimes and I'm shocked that i look pretty much the same size as friends who I consider small.

I guess I will probably always feel like this.
  • I've gone down one size so far, and I go for clothes that are too big at first because I'm afraid that the smaller ones won't fit.
