Hello,
This is my first time posting a topic on MFP. I have been a member since November 2011. I have not been logging food the past few weeks because I am at a point of frustration, and need some advice. I have been the same weight and my measurements have been the same since I have joined this site. I tried to stay under my calorie goal, and usually did. Also, I tried clean eating about 80% of the time. I know it probably should be more like 90-95% though. I usually eat pizza once a week. In addition to my eating, I exercise regularly. I have recently trained for and completed a half marathon, I completed two rounds of P90X (since last Feb.), and am currently finishing my first month of Insanity! I have seen changes in my pictures from day 1 of P90X to about day 120 of P90X, which is almost a year ago now. I thought MFP would help me with my plateau, but it has not. I am still considered overweight according to the stupid BMI, which I read about a lot on here. I do not hold much faith in it, but my goal weight is 132. 132 would put me at the edge of normal weight. I am currently 140. My lowest throughout the year was 136, but put a few pounds BACK ON since starting Insanity! I know the scale is not the best indicator either, but it is a gauge. My measurement have been the same also for at LEAST 6-7 months (I measure my chest, hips, and stomach). Any suggestions, advice, tools, etc. I would really appreciate some feedback!
Thanks in advance!
Corrie

Hello!
What is your daily calorie goal set to? How many calories a day are you eating? Have you used any TDEE calculators to see what your caloric intake should roughly be?
Doing P90x requires a serious amount of fuel

I am not sure what TDEE is? My calorie goal, according to MFP, is 1340 per day. I have increased it a bit in the past couple weeks because I think I need more calories since I am doing Insanity. I really need to reevaluate and figure it out! Thanks!0

1340 seems extremely low for your BMR, especially when doing insanity.
What do you have your MFP settings at? Sedentary? You should set them to roughly active and 1lbs loss per week and see what it comes back with.0 -
It is set at active with a one pound per week loss. Maybe I should play with the numbers. So, what is TDEE? Would that help me determine an adjustment in food consumption??? Thanks again0

Being so close to your goal weight means it will be harder to lose those few pounds, so don't give up.
I am almost done with week 4 of insanity and they give u a nutrition booklet that shows u how to calculate your daily calories, use it not what mfp says and don't eat your calories burned back with insanity.
My honest opinion is u r not eating enough calories to fuel your body. If u can't get your calories done for insanity just send me a message with your age, weight and height and I will calculate it for you.
When measuring I do my thighs about 10" above my knee or the fattest part, about 2" below my belly button, waist which is the smallest part of belly, hips which are at the part u sit at just about the bottom of the butt area (or at least on me)0 -

TDEE is Total Daily Energy Expenditure.
This is how many calories your body burns in a given 24 hour period. When you know this number, you can accuratly create a calorie deficit.
Check out the stickies in our group: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/3817-eat-more-to-weigh-less
You can also check out a TDEE calculator at: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
Just make sure you are accurate with your activity level. If you use the Scooby calc, you definitely sound like moderate activity.0 -
Thanks for the information. I will check it out and see what the results say. I did not get the additional information with Insanity because I am borrowing it from a friend. So, all I have are the dvds and a schedule. So, I will message you if I cannot figure it out!
Thanks again! I really want to SEE some physical results from all my hard work0 -
WOW! According to the Scooby scale, I need to be at 1917 a day! That is A LOT more than what I have been eating for the past several months!0
