when others take notice to changes in my body resulting from diet and exercise, I lose my motivation/will to continue. I know it's self sabotage but I can't seem to stop. Any ideas!

Even though you really want to change,
perhaps that change is scary? Because of:
- Fear of Success
- Fear of Failure
- Fear that others won't approve
Are the comments to you positive or negative?
Regardless, you have to push forward to get where you want to go.
Believe me, I've been there, done that! :noway:
I make progress, fall out, feel guilty, start over........ :grumble:
There are many motivational books out there you could look into.

You could always just use my philosophy... "F 'em"
Before I got my eye surgery I had this really goofy looking prescription sunglasses (commonly referred to as BCGs in the Air Force word.) My female coworker kept poking fun, not mean but pointing out that they do, in fact, look goofy. My response basically was "Was I gonna get laid if I put better glasses on?" Of course the relationship we have she eluded to 'maybe' but honestly what it comes down to is what does it matter what folks say unless you're trying to 'hookup' with someone. If your 'hookup' is the one making comments then just ignore my reply.0
