Anyone else have this issue? As I'm getting more into shape, it is becoming increasingly clear that the hip I hold my 1 year old on is smaller than the other hip. I do side bends with weights and lots of ab work. Should I do more on the side that's bigger??

Hum. I never noticed that but my baby is 5 years old.

I started doing strength training in July of last year. This month I asked my trainer to help me with the fact that one of my side is stronger. It was getting more apparent that my stronger side was compensating. He gave me some dumbbells work. I have to start with my weaker side and do the same number of rep on the other side.

I have noticed my weaker side is the one I am/was always holding my kids on. Since my youngest is now 2 (and requires less holding) and I have upped the strength training, I noticed the difference is going down now. Yet another reason I really believe you must strength train

**Edited: I forgot to add that I still work both sides equally and do not let my weak side get less work.

I noticed that too after my 2nd and 3rd kids, but it ultimately ended up having more to do with my back health. Once I started going to a chiropractor, I was a lot "straighter".

Hmmm...ok then I guess I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and hopefully they'll even out :/
