I've lost 34lbs and I'd like to lose about 10 more.........the first 25 came of SUPER fast and easy (relatively speaking) and now it's just harder and harder. My trainers have all said that would be the case, but I'm finding that as it gets slower, I'm getting less motivated, to the point where last week I pretty much just ate like poop all week, hardly worked out. I've been maintining....but I need to find that motivation to get back on track and get this last bit of weight off. I need to get back on track with work outs because I feel like garbage when I don't.
Anyone else on this boat with the last little bit of weight you have to lose?

Congradulations! You look terrific already but I know where you're comming from...
Yes, I weigh in tomorrow morning (I live in Sydney, so time lag) but generally have to loose last 4-3kg to reach goal weight of 56kg depending on tomorrow's weight results. Been steadily reducing the measurements as well and can get into all my winter pants now with only a slight muffin top showing. However, have a few challenges this month with birthday parties and special events which will prove tempting. The bummer is that I have to exercise even more to get same calorie burn. I have been doing weights along the way so have been maintaining muscle and upping my tone.
My game plan is to see this slowing/transition stage psychologically much like a plane coming into land, and a necessary precursor to maintenance weight habit, where the plane has taxied to a halt. So i do not plan to beat myself up about speed of weight loss and welcome it as an opportunity to entrench positive new and revised good habits that have edge since weight loss is still occurring, albeit a bit slower.
I plan to add a body pump class to my current routine of 'playing' with weight machines, and a circuit class and zumba class by way of aerobic variety as winter wet and cold means less outdoor walking and treadmills get a bit boring. My eating plan is to very slowly up the calories, with a few swings back to austerity just to keep my system sharp. This I hope will put me in a better psychological place overall about not getting anxious regarding weight loss rate at this stage as I head into maintenance phase i hope in about a month's time, after all this is about a lifetime plan which in reality will have a few swings and round abouts along the lines of 'everything in moderation, even moderation!' .:drinker: :0 -
I'm with you on this one. I have stalled at 10 lbs for about 3 weeks now. I'm happy I have not gained anything. I tell myself that I'm just gaining muscle weight since I added weight lifting to my execerise routines...I'm hoping that is what it is.
DON'T GIVE UP!!! Try making some changes to your diet or workouts...or both. Sometimes your body needs a change to trigger it again. Good Luck!!0 -
Yup same boat. It's quite frustrating. I lost 22lbs and working on the last 5lbs. I eat crappier and do less workouts. I want the weight off but Its just hard to be motivated. It's like I don't care but I do. I'm hoping this is just a bad week but I've been the same weight and size for over a month. But even if Im just maintaining I'm happy as long as its not a gain0

i'm in the same boat girl. ugh it sucks!!!!!! i've been told upping my calories helps. so I found out my BMR on fat2fit and upped my calories to 1550 (eating back workout cals) so hopefully that gets the scale moving again!! i know at this point they say we shouldn't focus on the scale anymore but more on inches lost and all that but its easier said than done.0

Yeah, I feel this way too. It's been a year for me and I still don't have myself in gear. It's just so hard to stay motivated when nothing has worked. I feel doomed to be stuck at this weight forever.0 -
can totally relate to this too. I lost almost 70 and now the last 16 are like NOT coming off. I'm going to try and be more diligent about logging and change my exercise routine to just running and walking. i've been doing some strength training and resistance
work and it helped me with 3 pound loss.. now I seem to be stuck at 165-166 pounds.. and not like that's bad, because I'd rather be at that weight than the 235 I was at once upon a time, but I just wanna get down to 150. Someone suggested cutting out all
carbs, maybe i'll give that a try for a week. Hugs.0
