Though it will be lonely today, I'll post anyway. Hope y'all have great trips.
Got the three yoga classes this morning - then we might have a quick trip to the gym this afternoon. Saw on the news that Austin only had 5 days that were below 100 degrees in July. Right now, it looks like it's more of the same through August. A tropical storm would be nice about now - just a little one - with a couple of inches of rain and no damage.
Happy Saturday, boogaloo!

Hi Mary! I am amazed at all your yoga classes - are you teaching all of those? And I don't know that I could bear that heat. I suppose you can get used to anything, though.
Tonight is the wedding, and I'm on call for work, so I won't be straying too far from the house otherwise. I did do some weeding (weeding/wedding, ha), and I forgot to do pushups last night so I will probably do them before I have to start getting ready to leave. I decided on the fancier dress, so hopefully it will be OK and I won't feel like I'm overdressed. I think part of the reason I don't like dressing up is that I feel like if I dress up, I'm supposed to be on display. And I don't really like that feeling - I'm so good at judging myself harshly that I'd rather not have to imagine how everyone else might judge me. If I don't put much effort into my appearance, then I won't feel bad if I don't look perfectly beautiful. Now that I consider it, I think I take that attitude toward a lot of things...
Anyway, there's my therapy session for the day! I'll post back in a few once I do my pushups.
Dress up boogaloo!0 -
Well, I almost managed it - week 3, level 3, day 3:
25
30
20
20
27 + 3 (minimum was 28, but I collapsed on the last one. I did 3 more after lying on the floor for a minute)
I think I need to repeat this week. Whew!0 -
Just posting here today.
I did teach all those. I have three more weeks of three classes a week (was doing 5, but my teacher comes back on Monday!) - then nothing for a while. I'm thinking about two workshops in September - I also have to start training for the bike ride though.
I subbing two classes this week that I've never done before. I heard it was an active class. I'm not sure I can handle going to my kick butt class then immediately teaching the active class. It would get me ready for the workshops though. Right now, I'm thinking I'll have to miss my kick butt classes.
Today - gym - maybe a little yoga session at home.
That's a lot of push-ups, CP. I hate dressing up as well. Luckily, we live in Austin - everything is casual. We saw someone is shorts at one of the nicest restaurants in town - and no one cared.
Sunday Boogaloo.0 -
The wedding was nice. It was a little bizarre to be there because it was held in the same place as my wedding - an old mill building that has been converted to a restaurant and art gallery. Dinner was tasty and I didn't eat too much, but I did drink a few glasses of wine. I guess I was getting bored talking to hubby's workmates.
Oh, and I ended up being pretty happy with my outfit - maybe a tad dressier than the average, but I think I looked nice and didn't stand out. I was surprised at how many women were wearing black dresses (mine was burgundy, and I had worried that it was too dark for summer). So now I shouldn't have to dress up again until the holidays.
We went out to a farmer's market this morning, and then I've pretty much been hanging around the house since then. It's been off-and-on rainy today, which is nice in the summer. I actually took a nap because I got called for work at 4:30 this morning and couldn't fall back asleep for a while. I should probably do some sort of exercise, but I am still tired. Maybe I'll get a DVD in later.
Sleepy Sunday boogaloo!0 -
I'm back. And I am SOOOOOOOOO sleepy!
I had a great time and it went by too fast! I'll try to blog about it eventually. I'm just about to konk out though. Alex was a perfect angel for his daddy (or Steve as Alex now calls him. lol!) of course!
I honestly can not type any more right now. Good thing we trust Alex not to get into trouble! DH is passed out on the couch (I guess it's hard work taking care of Alex's all weekend!) and I'm about to take a nap. I shouldn't this late but I just can't stay awake. Maybe I can just doze for a few minutes instead of a couple of hour.  I'm so sleepy that when I was taking notes at the retreat I wrote sleepy instead of slow. Ha ha. You know now what I was thinking about!
I'll catch up with you all later!
Super sleepy boogaloo!
