Fitbit accuracy when using elliptical or stationary bike

I just got back from the gym and did 20 minutes on the elliptical, along with 25 minutes at a 3.2 pace on the treadmill. I also did a few minutes of machines, which I know Fitbit doesn't really track. I hit the start/stop during my entire workout and it shows a calorie burn of 335 calories.
Does anyone know how accurate the Fitbit is when on the elliptical or a stationary bike? (I didn't bike today, but I often do.) MFP estimates my burn at 478 vs. the 335 from my Fitbit. Just wondering what I should be going by... any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, looking for new friends who motivate and may use Fitbits as well!
