antibiotics

I was just put on Augmentin for a sinus infection and even though I am eating the same calories and working out, I had an uptick on the scale today. I know that antibiotics can mess with weight loss, but is this a temporary thing. Is it like water weight that will go away once I am off of them or am I working out for nothing?

I would assume it's temporary, even the uptick was even fat as opposed to water weight to begin with. At least, I lost 5 lbs shortly after an antibiotic regimen (which, come to think of it, may have been Augmentin).0
