so I'm from california, Tuesday i'll be going on vacation to Flagstaff, Arizona til friday. I'll be attending the Arizona Cardinals training camp, *hoping to meet Kurt Warner* and I'll also be visiting the Grand Canyon for the first time and I'm very excited (esp. cuz i'm a photographer). I'm interested in taking some of the professional athletes form of exercise and stretching and adapting it into my routine, i'm very curious about this. also, we are planning a mild hiking trip into the canyon so there's some exercise there as well.

But i gotta mention, i'm quite nervous and lost on how to eat while on vacation, there is no kitchen in the hotel room so that means we'll be eating out a lot *guh* the hotel also does not have a gym, (of course i can wake up a lil earlier then the rest of my party and do *silent sit-ups/push ups* does anyone have any advice or sucess stories about their vacation eating/exercising habits? I'm already planning on taking healthy alternative for snacks while everyone else will be snacking on high fat/salt content snacks... I've reached my weight goal and i would be disappointed to lose track, i know it's not the end of the world and i can regain my goal again, but i worked hard to get where i am.

whadya say?

  • don't know if it's possible for you, but on vacation, I usually take a quick run outside in the morning before anyone gets up. I've even just run circles in the parking lot of the hotel. That's just what I've done in the past. Good luck!

I was in Arizona about a month ago and I would go out and run in the morning, I'm an avid runner so it made it easier, if you aren't used to it than it would be hard, but you could do it. We we go no later than 6:30 though because of the heat and trust me it was still sooo hot but nice and sweaty lol Have fun on your trip and just remember order the dressing on the side if you order a salad otherwise theres no way to know!

take it one day at a time

be on the lookout for opportunities to walk. run, climb, be active in any way

buy fresh foods in a grocery store as often as possible

in a restaurant order broiled or grilled meat or fish with no sauce, steamed veggie with no butter or sauce, salad with no dressing

stay vigilant and keep your eye on your goal:bigsmile:
