Fiber & Protein - How much is too much?

I've noticed I'm almost always significantly over my recommended daily intake for these two nutrients. I know that they are great things to have in a diet, and I love what I'm eating recently, but I'm worried that I'm overdoing it.

I'm 5"3, 148-152 lbs (I don't own a scale, so I only get weighed at the doctor), and I average an hour of light cardio exercise and a handful of situps a day. I am getting much better about drinking my 8 glasses of water a day and I expect to do so regularly. How far over my protein and fiber allocations can I go without causing harm to my body? Should I be shooting for more carbs and fat instead, even if I don't really want it?

You can check my food diary if you want a ballpark figure of how far over I am, but be warned, it's my first week; the first few days were mostly about tracking what I eat when I'm not planning out calories, and as such are a little embarrassing. :blushing:

any extra nutrients like protein will be excreted from your body in your urine.

I've been told by many trainers in the past you should have 1 gram of protein to 1 pound of body weight. I eat a lot of veggies for fiber, however it never seems to be enough for me. Now I ate good (most days...not this weekend though) and every morning when I make my protien shake I put a tablespoon of straight Psyllium husk; which is just fiber seed, all natural. It doesn't taste good alone but in the shake I don't notice it. Hope this helps! Good luck.
