New Runner: Calf Pain Help

Hi all. I just started getting into running this past winter and recently half been getting bad pain in my right calf (feels more like the calf muscle than shin). It usually comes on after my first 10 mins of running. I'm wondering if anyone has stretches they can recommend or advice on what I may be doing wrong. One of my friends suggested more potassium. I've also read that maybe crosstraining could help get my muscles in shape. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks
