Does anyone know of a low calorie cracker that I can use for dip and such?
I heard of a soba cracker once, but never found them, does this ring a bell to anyone?

Melba toasts. They have 15 calories each and minimal ingredients, whole grain... it's still goign to take some self control to keep the portion low. I allow myself one at lunch and one at dinner

Soda crackers are generic saltines. They make a reasonable substitute for some cracker-y foods although they're not my favorite. I've been eating reduced fat Ritz or Wheat Thins.

Homemade crackers are wonderful as you can put whatever seeds etc. in that you want. Definitely Google for some healthy varieties and you'll be amazed how easy they are. The healthy homemade ones are the baked ones, they can be made gluten free, egg free, soy free, whatever works for ongoing allergies. Rosemary and Flaxseed Crackers are delicious!

Lavash crackers are really easy to make and you can control what goes into them. :)

It ends up being about 170 calories for a half sheet of them, which is quite a few shards of lavash!
    Thanks!

Natural Nectar Cracklebread-these are really light and crispy and everything taste good on them. They are 53 calories for 3, 2x3 inch cracker-and they're gluten free, 0 fat and 0 cholesteral. I love them with a little bit of Better than Peanutbutter and a little Polner sugar free jam on them. I buy them in my local health food store.

I had these the other day--cheddar flavor--and I was very pleasantly surprised. If you're feeling daffy and have the carbs to spare, you can swallow the whole box cardboard and all for about 380 cals.

I use GG crackers... they're scandanavian crackers... for one decent cracker - 12 cals.; 5g fiber; 7g carbs..

they're decent enough to break up and use to dip or use two slices and put something in between as a sandwhich.

I take a Joseph's Lavash, spray both sides with Pam and rub with pepper, garlic salt and regular salt on boths sides. I cut it with a pizza cutter and bake (keep an eye on it) flipping them over once. I also use cinnamon and sugar and make a craker/cookie.

Thanks for the topic need to find LC crackers. I do have a great one now for dipping, taco salad, guacamole, soups I love it but requires portion control or I could eat the whole bag easily. He has other flavors also like Seseme seed and plain.
