Push through it !! That first week is killer but you have to push though. Promise the extreme fatigue and soreness will fade out0

I have tips for you!
1. Fuel up on light carbs 30 min before workout
2. Re-Fuel on protein within 1 hour after workout
3. Get 8 hours of sleep
4. Invest in some light walks, yoga, or light running on some evenings after Insanity
5. Stay hydrated
6. Eat enough
I found that doing those things really helped me recover from my Insanity workouts. I hope they help0 -
Oh and the reason I say invest in light walks/yoga/or running is because light cardio pumps oxygen in your body, speeds up circulation, and because you're moving around rather than doing exercise in small space, it helps stretch out your muscles and lessen muscle tension.0

Get an electrolyte drink that doesn't suck (I like hammer HEED plus their endurolyte pills).0

i have never done it but i know for pain... ibprofine, lots of water, warm shower or bath, icey hot, rest, and to keep moving the next day... a lot of people stop because of the pain which is not a good idea... the more you move the faster the acid in your muscles can disipate the better you feel... well till you do it again lol
best of luck!! hope this helps a little0 -

THIS!!!
I am doing INSANITY now, (and have done the entire program before) and I found that what helps me the most is to go on a walk or a walk/job immediately after the workout. It works wonders and plus you get a few more calories burned! It really, really helps.0 -

I'm not really looking to lose weight- more build up my cardio as well as lower my body fat % as a bonus. I thought I was relatively fit, and then I started the program...........................damn it pushes you!!0 -
I'm in the beginning of week 2, and I have had soreness in my calves for the entire time. Today I went and bought a rumble roller from ****'s, and rolled for quite a while tonight. It is pretty painful, but my calves already feel a million times better! I also had a knot in my lower back that it is kneading out as well. I had never heard of these rollers until a couple days ago, but man am I glad I found it!0

I'm finishing up my third week. Dig deep It totally gets better. The first week I could not believe how sore my calves were!0

It DEFINITELY pushes you! I had forgotten how damn sore I was the first week (the first time I did it) but today when I woke up I could feel the burn in my legs and butt! Honestly though, the walking/jogging afterwards REALLY helps.
My results the first time were amazing! I lost around 12 lbs (of fat) and built a ton of muscle. It was the first time in my life that I had definition in my abs and arms. I have always been a runner/soccer player and have had pretty good legs my entire life, but after INSANITY, there were muscles in my legs that I had NEVER seen before! I have a picture of my leg in my photos, check it out if you want. It really helped me build muscle and also lose the fat that I had.0 -
