I pick my mom up at the airport tomorrow night. My mom and I are super close..we talk every day on the phone but I haven't seen her since before Thanksgiving. I want to spend every possible minute with my mom while she is here for the 3.5 days, however I want to stay on track as well. Thursday my oldest graduates high school so that day is already scheduled as "off". Mom intends to cook ALOT while she is here. She is a southern lady so you can imagine where this is going to go right? Anyone know where I can buy will power in a can or pill?
Does crying burn calories? If so Thursday I should log a huge deficit!

It sounds like you have a fantastic week ahead of you! When you would normally workout, why don't you walk so that your mom can join you? It is a great time to visit with her, and i find that if I keep the dedicated work-out time still active (even if not strenuous) I am less likely to fall off the wagon. For your diet, I would look at my maintenance level, and try to hit it with portion control. That way you are not back-sliding, but are still realistically focused on your new healthy lifestyle. Good luck and congrats!

Well they say that your weight can go up with water retention so crying should lessen the weight.

Also I would have a talk to your Mom before she goes to the grocery store to buy the ingredients that you are trying to lose weight, but if your picture is fairly recent I am sure you will get the standard Mom reply "you don't need to lose weight" :-).

I looked on your profile, telling people not to do things is like telling someone losing weight they can't have something they like hehehe.

My advice for while your Mom is there if she doesn't agree with you about losing weight, is to eat small amounts and drink plenty of water.

If you require so extra motivation/support after she has gone send me a friend request :-)

Kabarnes - you are absolutely right! It will be a fantastic week! See my mom and see my young man accomplish a major goal in life! and walking with my mom sounds like fun...why didn't i think of that?

Andy - yeah mom doesn't agree with weightloss on my part...thinks it's ok to eat all the fried foods and drink cokes all the time..but I still love her! How could I not? I will just take it one meal at a time...maybe i will rub off on her! LOL not a chance..I wonder where my hard head come from
