Has anyone run the Barcelona Marathon?

I'm seriously tempted to make this my first marathon, in March 2013. Going to Barcelona is my 'when I hit my weight loss target' reward, so going to run a marathon there seems a particularly cool thing to do.

I wondered what people's experience of the race was?

Not done a marathon but Barcelona is amazing. Highly recommend going if you can What a wonderful goal!

I haven't done an International one before. just research and see if you have to register with a tour group or something. A lot of large intl marathons make you.

Can't see any evidence of that on their site. I'd never heard of that before, so thanks for the info.

I've had a look on runnersworld, and commentary on this is pretty good. I think I have found my marathon.
