I recently got off for summer break a little over a week ago. Since I don't have to worry about work, I've amped up my exercise. I run more, have been working with my weights in the living room more, and going to the gym more. This past weekend I had a bit going on and I ate out several times. I always went as healthy as I could with two small splurges. Everything was evened out with exercise or I had the calories to eat it. So, the scale is now telling me that I've gained weight. I know that I haven't, but I'm curious as to whether the "gain" is due to me exercising more or because of the ridiculous amount of sodium in restaurant food? What do you think?

Probably a bit of both - drink lots of water, try not to worry about it, keep up the exercise and see where you are in a week's time.

Probably both. Sodium causes water retention and so does hard exercise. It's a little disheartening to see but you just have to accept that it's just water weight and the scale is just a number.

That's what I figured. I'm kinda disappointed because I was literally .5 pound from meeting a goal that I wanted to make by this weekend. My body has amazing timing with water retention.
