I had horrible bouts of diarrhea last night, and I know I lost lot of water. I drank alot of water this morning, and went to work out just now...I was shaking so badly i knew my electrolytes needed to be replenished, and fast, I was shaking so bad i was nauseated. I made a HALF a packet of ramen noodle broth (no noodles, just the seasoning) in a coffee mug and drank it slowly (it was hot! lol). I feel ALOT better, and I'm not shaking anymore. That is around 550mg sodium. Question is, even though I feel better, do you think it was a good idea? (I wanted gatorade but I dont think i would have made it to the store shaking as bad as I was).

I dunno about what you did is ok or not. I do know when the doctor put me on my weight loss journey I had diarrhea for 2 days straight. It was terrible.0

550mg of sodium isn't all that much, and It made you feel better, so I think it's fine. I used to get terribly car sick as a kid and found salt would settle my stomach.0

The sodium allows your body to absorb fluids faster... not a bad move, if you ask me...0
