I have just joined MFP. What are people calculatuing for their calories burned for the 30 day shred workouts? I have been calling it 20 minutes of circuit training.
Thanks for the help.

I used circuit training before I got my HRM. A heartrate monitor is the best way to accurately track your calorie burns.0

I call it 20 minutes of circuit training also. I don't have a heart rate monitor yet.0 -
same (20 mins circuit training) don't have a HRM right now0

I decided to award myself 94 calories for it and that's what I've been doing.
Hopefully it's actually slightly more but I prefer to underestimate and I don't have a HRM. Also I know there is quite a lot of variation between different days (sometimes I'm more tempted to phone it in) so I think it's safest to have a lower base.
For the record today was the 61st time I've done it since I joined MFP 100 days ago and I've been losing weight so the way I'm logging seems to work for me.0 -
I have a Nike Fuel band that tells me how many calories I burn from movement. Thing is, it only monitors how much I move my left arm. (I wear the band like a watch on the left arm). So, butt-kicks don't get me many points, because the arms don't move a whole lot. So... I'm not sure how to really report that.0

when i used to do it i'd burn about 200, according to my HRM. but everyone is different. you gotta get an HRM.0

I count it as circuit training and with my HRM I'm burning between 330-450 each time0

I log it as circuit training and time it, too. I don't have a HRM and I'm waiting on my Fitbit Ultra to help me determine the actual calories burned....or as actual as I can get with a Fitbit.0

i would log it as circuit training, when i used to do it i never used to burn more than 300 cals acording to my hrm, mostly between 200-300 depending on how hard i worked!0

I have an hrm but I add my exercise so it's called "jillian michaels is the devil" in my database0

I used to log it as circuit training and according to MFP, I burnt 200 calories on average. But then I got my HRM and that tells me I've burnt 310.0

Ha. Love the way you're logging. I've got it in as "special time with Jillian".0

Thanks so much everyone.0
