Well, I couldn't figure out why I smelled cat urine every time i ran more than 6 or 7 miles. It only happened a few times, especially since I'm just breaking into distance running. Who would have thought that the breakdown of amino acids in my body would make me smell like cat piss... lol. If you didn't know, which most of you already do, here is a link to the article I just read: http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/general/qa-why-this-strong-smell-of-ammonia/2029.html

Hope this helps someone. =-)

    Eat more carbs.

This happened to me a few years ago when I was eating probably under 200 grams of carbs a day. Now I eat 300 to 500 and can run 10 to 15 miles a day for multiple days in a row without it happening.

    It stinks doesn't it lol.

Ammonia, arising when the the body goes into Ketosis.

Ironically, about a week and a half ago I went out on a run and ran longer than normal when I arrived back home, I mentioned to my husband that I hadn't smelt that ammonia smell for a while, but it sure stank this time
