Pulled a muscle in my back

I have been doing 30 day shred for almost a week and was feeling a bit of a twinge in my left trapezoid? (think its that one after googling). Anyway it loosened up a bit after warm up and felt fine so I carried on but today it began to really hurt. I missed the shred workout yesterday as had all day party thing but didn't even attempt it today. I have taken nurofen for pain relief which is manageable but I just wondered if anyone knows how long I should leave it before going back to the shred. Feel a bit gutted to have to stop as I'm feeling really motivated but don't want to do any permanent damage. It's odd as my weights are only about 2lbs each. Thanks for any words of wisdom :-)
