I've been having a heard time lately trying to reach the number of calories I need. I feel like I'm eating SO much food! (veggies, fruit, whole grains) I always feel stuffed! Does anyonehave some sugestions on how I can get some more calories in with healthy food?

I love peanut butter on whole wheat toast. There are alot of calories from fat but nut fats are incredibly good for you. I usually have that as a snack after lunch. I cant get enough of it. If you dont like the idea of all the fat try reduced fat Peanut Butter. Its still soooo good. Warm and gooey!

This would be a blessing for me. My meals are usually simple, and sometimes bland. I would love to have additional calories so I could eat more of the "toppings" I like to put on things. One item I have found to be very useful is a meal replacement shake similar to slimfast but just a different brand. When I need more food, or think I might be setting myself up to skip a meal, I use these. They add good things to my body, and are somewhat filling, but I could eat again in a couple of hours.

While veggies are REALLY good for you, and I love most of em, (brussel sprouts make me ill!)
they aren't especially good for caloric consumption. I would suggest adding some things in with it to give you the extra protein and good fat that can jump up your calories. I.E. 1/2 cup of almonds, or cottage cheese, beef jerkey, ahh. Any kind of nut is high in calories and good fat, and you don't need to stuff yourself to get a good amount of calories from them, and generally they don't make you feel full from the size portions they recommend. Lots of beans are good like that too.

I wouldn't worry about reaching your suggest ed caloric intake. The whole point of dieting is changing your eating habits for the better. Although everything everyone else is providing to you here are excellent points about eating healthy there are two things I would suggest in addition to their information.

    1. Spread your eating across 6 periods of the day to keep your metabolism working more efficiently

    2. Eat until you feel full and then stop.

I would also highly suggest that you monitor yourself so that you're mind isn't convincing you that you should eat least and cause yourself health problems.

    Keep up the good work!
