Couch 2 5k rest days?

I just started the couch 2 5k program but I am wanting to do something else for cardio on my rest days. Any suggestions??

  • Try a spin class. I used that and yoga to supplement my C25K program.

    I recommend throwing some yoga into the mix. It incorporates a lot of stretching, which will help you avoid injuries. I thought I didn't need to stretch, because I wasn't getting sore. Then I ended up with tendinitis due to an overly tight calf muscle.

    My sister in law, a physical therapist and marathoner swears by doing yoga on rest days to help her perform better and avoid inury.

    Thanks! I will have to give that a try :smile: I do have some yoga dvd's I bought last year I guess it is time to dust them off lol :laugh:
