Eating my BMR

Eating my BMR is just too much food I can't see how this could work. I just don't get it. I'm so stuffed right now. I know I was still under my calories with my exercise but it just doesn't make sense to me. someone please straighten me out and explain how it works. How much am I supposed to eat to maximize weight loss. Thanks

BMR 2400 is this the amount of calories I'm supposed to eat?
And is it net calories?

MFP 1900 Or is this the amount of calories I'm supposed to eat?
and is this net calories?

Please help

OK...I could be wrong, but I think MFP builds a 500 calorie deficit into your calorie goal... that is why many people say that you should eat back your exercise calories.

    BMR 2400
    MFP goal 1900

    deficit 500 ( x 7 days a week = 3500 calories or 1 pound)

BMR is what your body burns while you are resting! It is the minimum calories you need to survive each day. Eating below BMR is a sure fire way to fail a diet over a longer period of time. It's a quick fix if you have a small amount to lose over a short period of time!

TDEE - is you total daily energy expenditure. This is the amount of calories you burn doing daily activities and exercise.

The calories MFP gives you is based on your weight loss goals. If you choose to lose 1 lb per week, it takes into account your daily activity (set by you) and subtracts 3500 calories (per week) from that and gives you your goal calories. But if your goal calories are below your BMR, you are setting yourself up for failure.

You should eat at or above BMR at a minimum. BUT, here may be the problem. Did you include your daily exercise into your daily activity levels for MFP? You should not do this when using the MFP settings. Your daily activity is your life before exercise. The calories you burn during exercise are extra, and counted elsewhere. Do not include them in your activity level when setting up your goals. Otherwise it's double dipping. I hope I didn't confuse you more. Feel free to message me if you have more questions.
