Losing Mass

Hi there
I've just been told that I have a kidney infection and am not allowed to do any weight training or exercise at all really for 2 weeks, usually I strength train 3-4 times a week and do at least an hour of cardio (kettlebells) a day, it's driving me mad not being able to do anything and I'm worried about the muscle I'm going to lose, does anyone have any advice on how to slow down the loss and tips for my diet?

Just do what your Doc tells you to. Your not going to lose any muscle in 2 weeks. If you try and supplement (pills/powder)with something extra. Your Kidneys still have to filter it. If you even try and lift you will stress your body out to much. Your body needs to heel now. If you lift or exercises in anyway. You just pulling your bodies energy away from heeling your Kidneys to trying to repair from working out. Many times a couple of weeks off can make a huge difference.0

Thanks guys, needed some reassurance, feeling pretty crappy but you know how it is, I HATE not being able to work out.0

Also being in your 20's your natural test levels should be at there highest. I'd bet you could go much longer and maintain your muscle. Plus bounce back 10x faster.0
