ok to to eat then sleep/lay down?
Would this contribute to weight gain?
or nothing at all?

The time of day you eat makes absolutely no difference to weight loss so long as you remain at a calorie deficit. You may find you weigh a little more the next morning because of the undigested food you still have in your gut, however, not to mention risk heartburn/acid reflux.0

3500 calories above your TDEE will cause you to gain a pound.. It does not matter when you eat, what you eat or where you eat it!!!
Plain and Simple.
However.... It might affect your digestion (Heartburn, Acid Reflux) etc.0
