What happens if you exceed your Fat macro?

Well, apparently, it's good if I exceed my Protein macro on MFP (good and faster recovery, retain muscles, etc); not really good if I have too much Carbs (bloating? etc), but how about the Fat part? What would happen it I exceed it?

    If you exceed it, you will reach your daily calorie goal quicker (with less food). That is all.

    This is because fat has a little over twice the calories per gram than protein or carbs.

    Better to go over in fat than in carbs imo. But there's debate over that and there will be for a long long time.

    It depends if you are on a deficit, maintenance or excess. Though I'd be happy to hear your opinion :)

    I was talking about deficit for loss. I don't know the first thing about maintenance or excess... haven't gotten to that stage yet. :-)

    My reasoning is that I believe fat has been unfairly demonized over the past three decades. The more studies I read, the less correlation I can make between fat intake (excluding trans fats... which seem to pretty much be direct from Satans lab) and weight gain/loss. Carbs on the other hand have mounting evidence for being a contributing factor. (Please note I'm not on the Gary Taubes "fat is da bomb and carbs are the devil" bandwagon though. Moderation in all things.)
