Trying to Lose Weight with Real Food

Hey everyone!

I ballooned in college (waaayyyyy more than the freshman 15), and have been in a constant battle with my weight since. I have tried all the fads, some have worked, and some not so much. And over the years I have been known to fluctuate. Well, I am sick and tired of it! I am now trying to focus on eating healthy, unprocessed foods as much as possible.

Why? I don't really think all of the processing and chemicals are good for you for one, and two, you can eat a hell of a lot more veggies than you can powdered sugar donuts for the same calories. I am a volume eater. I like food, and I like to eat. Whole foods are a great way to still eat a lot but keep intake low.

So, I am trying to create a sustainable lifestyle that allows me to lose weight, eat good food, and a lot of it. This means more cooking on my part, but so far I am feeling a lot better doing it.

Reach out to me! I need friends and support on this mission if I am going to make a go of it. I also have a food blog to help keep track of what I eat and my progress at www.realfoodquest.com. The more support I can get I figure the better shot I have to make this work.
