Morning vs. Afternoon workouts & Metabolism

Just curious. During the school year, I had changed my workouts to after school from early morning. I gained a bit of weight, even though I felt like I was getting a solid workout.

About a week ago, I switched back to early morning and my metabolism kicked into high gear. I physically feel a difference and the scale is showing it as well.

Anyone else have this experience?
