Newbie Here...

Just a regular 40 something guy trying to regain my health in the Vancouver, BC area.

I work in the ice cream business. I know, I know... but that isn't my downfall. Mostly I just don't have the energy or time to do what needs to be done to regain the energy or time to do what needs to be done. Etc., etc., etc.

I'm a married dad who woke up one morning at 265lbs. and said "this is crazy!" I'm getting sick, I've lost motivation on all fronts, my life insurance premium is beginning to skyrocket, I can't keep up with my daughter to do the things we want to do and worst of all: my daughter will spend the prime of her life taking care of ME if I don't do something NOW!

So I set a goal to loose 95lbs. MyFitnessPal is helping me do that. I'm happy to share what works and what doesn't (for me) with anyone who is interested.

I'm glad you found this site...it's so helpful, along with all the support! You can do this just take it one day at a time. Remember why you started your journey! Diet is 70% of weightloss....so just eat less and make better choices.

    Good luck!

I also had one of those "OMG moments" and I think that was the critical piece to my success (well, half-success, still got a ways to go!)

I'll send you an add request
