I joined a couple weeks ago, but I don't think I ever came on here and introduced myself.
I am 49 years old and have been married for 25 1/2 years. I have two sons, ages 18 and 21. I work full time as a church secretary.
I have struggled with my weight ever since getting married (I really never did before that). I lost 50 pounds back in 99/2000 and was probably in the best shape I'd been in. But, then I got my desk job and every single pound ended up coming back on because I got lazy.
I am really tired of being overweight, and want to get healthy. I have lost about 10 pounds in about a month, which I'm happy about (my think only shows I've lost 4- but I had lost some before joining here). I am a very very picky eater, and like very very few vegetables. I love fruit though. I do want to learn to like more vegetables, and cut back on the amount of meat I eat, too.
I also need to get a more regular exercising routine. I was on vacation last week at Myrtle Beach and didn't do too bad, but didn't walk as much on the beach as I had wanted to. I am leaving tomorrow to go to my cousins in Wisconsin until Monday, and hopefully will get some walking in while there.
I have the Turbo Jam workout DVD's and love them, but have only worked out to them a couple times the past month.
I think I just need to 'plan' a little more- actually plan when I can workout/walk and plan out my meals a little better.
It has helped joining here and keeping track of my calories. However, I never knew that you were supposed to eat your calories back after exercising!
Anyway, hope to meet some people here to help keep me motivated and I can do the same for you!
