Disclaimer: This isn't about all or nothing, I think we all understnad that they are both beneficial to us.

I have always been a cardio ... cardio ... cardio person!!! BUT I had recently hit a 3 week plataue ... go bummed out ... & gained back 4 lbs in 4 weeks!! (I couldnt lose 1lb a week, but I could sure gain it)

Anyways ... IM BACK but I'm thinking about focusing more on the weights.

For example ... last night I did 15 min. @ 3.5mph on a 5 incline to get a good warm up. Then off to the weight room where I did different benches, squats, over heards ... etc ... for an additional 45 minutes.

I'm sore today but it is a good sore!! ;) Feel like an accomplishment

Thoughts and personal experiences for beating this!! I'm trying to still lose 15-20 lbs

    Good job!

I've been doing cardio and will be starting strength training tonight I think. I bought a kettlebell at lunch and plan on trying that tonight. I know I need to do it, but I don't have easy access to a gym!

you can try something like a complex

don't mind the fact that it's on a musclehead site, scroll down to the tumminello complex. it's one of my favorites. the general principle is you do a few resistance exercises in succession with 1 piece of equipment for all exercises.

for the tumminello i'll either use 10 pound weight plate for 2 sets as a warm up or i'll use a 25 pound weight plate for 5 sets as an actual workout.

it's fun.. a crazy kinda fun and you look like a girl with a mission to be in a bikini when you do it. you can also do these with a kettle bell. my suggestion would be to pick a challenging weight but still light enough that you can get through your weakest movements

if you want an actual strength training program that's more traditional then look up new rules of lifting for women or stronglifts 5x5
