Hi, my name is Mel. I am almost in my 30's and I had recently last month fell down some stairs and broke my right ankle and sprained my left, which had a lot to do with my weight and some to do with my birth defect. So I decided that it is time to lose the weight.
I was told if I don't lose the weight a long time ago that I would probably hurt myself and of course I did not believe them until the accident. I am not exercising, but it is an exercise I cannot avoid at all. I am learning how to use my crutches and it seems like the most vigorous exercise I have ever had to do yet. I mean all the walking and other things I have done to exercise does not even compare to the way the crutches have been treating me. I will literally go into major sweats because I am doing exercises, but you would never think would you? Well I didn't until I am just like "I don't want to exercise any more!" LOL knowing that every time I get off of the chair, couch or bed I will be doing some exercising, if I like it or not.
So I am hoping to lose some weight. I am 248 right now and want to drop down to 170 (this is my long term goal). Right now 1lb a week is just fine, but honestly with the constant non-willing exercise I believe it just might be more than 1.
