Hey
i bought a Polar FT7 and wore it too work yesterday. I am 5ft 11" and weigh in at 243lbs.
I cycled to work and back total of 6 miles and worked a 12 hours shift.
I spend around half the shift on my feets.
So i wore the HRM from 05:30 till 19:00 and it claimed i burned 3400 cals
Can i take this as a true reading or is it way out
thanks

No it's not true.. nor should you ditch it.
HRM's are meant for exercise only(IE the cycling part) and not to worn during rest(IE Work).
If you want something to wear all day, then invest in Body Media FIt.0
