Hello, I'm new here and I was wondering if anyone could help me with my diet.
Info: I'm an apple shape and hold a lot of weight around my upper half.
I'm a student and so will be eating pretty simply.

For example, I make omelettes, jacket potatoes, vegetables, rice, pasta.

Can anyone help me please?

    Frozen veg is cheap.
    Frozen chicken legs are cheap.
    Mince isnt too expensive.
    Eggs are cheap.
Chopped tomatoes are great (tinned, super cheap).
    Tinned Fish is great.
Onions garlic mushrooms and herbs are cheap and add flavour

    Hope this helps!
  • Brilliant, thank-you, and just to add, I don't particularly like meat but I do eat chicken now and again but I prefer not to.

I roast chicken breast on weekend and use it during the week in my salads, wraps and sandwitches. I use different spices to make it taste different every week. I am not big chicken fan but lately I found myself eating a lot of it and I do not mind it at all. I also love hot dogs. One time my husband bought Oscar Meyer 98% fat free hot dogs by mistake. I was going to throw them away but decided to try - I was surprized that it actually tasted pretty good and only 40 calories per hot dog. With the but it is about 150 - 160 calories so I can have 2 at lunch. Works for me. Soups are a great way to fill you up if you like soups. But don't buy the creamy ones, those will pack tonnes of calories. I also make quinoa and garbanzo beans salad with a bit of olive oil, lemon juice and cilantro. It tastes good cold and warm and has a lot of protein.
