Snack ideas for food allergic person!

Options
I don't eat dairy and have nut allergies so that wipes out many choices. Also, I have to limit fruit (I get OAS, swollen itchy throat), so I eat citrus and berries.

What can I snack on besides carbs to up my calories? I don't eat enough to lose weight.

Can you have eggs? A hard-boiled egg is a protein-packed snack in a tiny package. Granola soaked in almond milk? Tuna?

What about seeds, like sunflower or pumpkin?

We crackers with sunflower seed butter

Soy yogurt topped with sunflower seeds

Protein shake with non dairy milk

    Hummus with veggies

Quinoa cooked in non dairy milk with cinnamon and a bit of brown sugar

High fiber tortillas with bean dip and soy cheese--mini burrito

hmmmm...how about soy nuts, edamame, or wasabi peas.

eggs are a maybe, I go back to the allergist in a few weeks. I am ok if they are baked but have issues when they are just cooked(you know scrambled etc).

I have never thought of seeds, good idea!

I am apparently in starvation mode.

Oh sorry--well nix the soy nuts and edamame.

Are you allergic to all nuts? Some people can eat certain nuts if they only have a tree but allergy/ I think some "nuts" are actually legumes.

How about homemade protein bars or even store bought ones.

Uum--is it the lactose in dairy?? They make lactose free products.

I love hummus with veggies. Sunflower butter is a great non-nut alternative the peanut butter...great on celery! Also roasted chickpeas are yummy:

1 can (14 oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
    2 teaspoons olive oil
1 teaspoon cinnamon or your spice(s) of choice
    1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
    1/4 teaspoon salt

1.Place chickpeas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a Silpat.
2.Bake at 450 F for 30 minutes. (You didn't miss anything here. You don't oil or season them until after they are done. In fact, for an extra healthy treat, try them when they get out of the oven before even adding the oil. They are enjoyable all on their own.)
3.Transfer chickpeas to a bowl and mix thoroughly with the rest of the ingredients.
4.Enjoy hot, or bring to room temperature and store in an air-tight container. Like popped corn, the chickpeas are never as good the next day. However, they are still quite enjoyable 3-4 days after making them.

legume nuts as well as some nut nuts, so I nix them all for cross contamination. No its dairy dairy allergy, not lactose intolerance. Plus my kids are allergic so we really don't cook with it.

Maybe I can make some granola bars?
