What do you do at the gym and how often?

So I wanted to know how often a person should be working out for weight loss. I would like to lose 40 more pounds but I do not want to burn myself out. I go to the gym every day when possible and sometimes I go twice a day. I do lots of cardio and weights. I just want to get others opinions on this and ask what everyone's routine is at the gym. Any info would be helpful!!!

    I usually go to the gym 5 days a week. I lift 2-3 times & cardio 2-3 times. During the summer I go twice a day a couple of times during the week. Mostly I run on the treadmill, but I also like using the stairmaster once a week & I try to get a 10K run outdoors on Saturdays. I'm taking it easy this week, because I'm running my first ever race on saturday (10K). I'll be back at it on Monday.

    I never go to the gym. I do the following though. I run twice a week and I try to bike home or to work at least once assuming my personal schedule and appointments don't get in the way (like today :frown: ) and the other days except for one which is my rest day I try and do 30DS or some sort of other exercise I can fit in before I leave for work at 6:45. I'm finding the running is what really helps the weight drop off though.
