Any army recruiters out there?

I spent 3 years as a recruiter in Rochester, NY for the Army.
The 90 that you scored is more than likely what they call your QT score (Short for AFQT - Armed Forced Qulificaiton Test). Basically that is your math and english skills. That in itself does not really factor into your enlistment. However, with a 90 on AFQT there is a good chance you have very high LINE SCORES, which determine what jobs you may qualify for.
Other things factor in as well like if you are color blind or not. If you want to leave ASAP or wait. If you want a big bonus or not. All those things factor in to what jobs will be offered to you. Also if there is a specific job you want hold out for it. That is the best advise i can give you. I saw many applicants get a job just because they wanted to get in and didnt put much thought into it. However, the ones who did put thought in it and stuck to there guns at MEPS usually got it, barring of course any physical ailment that would hinder you from specific jobs.
From your little icon I can see you are a motivated individual especially if you have lost 35 lbs and counting. Don't just settle especially after you have put so much work into it. Get the job you want. The bonus will be there and then will be gone but your job stays with you for the entire enlistment.
Good Luck

As a former military wife,
I think you sound like a great recruiter.
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the work YOU do. :flowerforyou:0
