use your HRM. Enter it in to MFP including the start time and it will overwrite for that period of time.

I would wear both just to see if they are significantly different. If not, then you know you can just wear your Fitbit in the future.

Leave your Fitbit on when you work out and you can log your activity on MFP or Fitbit using the cals on your HRM. FitBit will take out the steps for that period - you will be asked to log a start time when you log your exercise and enter the duration.

    Does that make sense?

Use the HRM. Agree with what Jac says about entering it into MFP.

If you have a HRM, it will be more accurate in terms of calories burned, because it's taking a measurement from your body whereas your FB isn't. So even if you wear the fitbit (you can still keep it on), use your HRM to log the calories you spend deliberately exercising. FB is great to wear during your everyday life.

Also since FB is limited by only being able to measure altitude, distance and steps taken, it's not a good measure of any activity that can't be described by the number of steps you take (like walking/running). Zumba wouldn't register very well for a FitBit because it's more of a full body exercise..

BOTH!! That's what I always do. I wear my HRM when working out along with my Fitbit. If you do not wear your Fitbit while working out, it will not track your steps for that time period thus not giving you an accurate representation of your daily steps and you may not reach your daily goal. If you wear your Fitbit while working it, it will add all of the steps you take towards your daily goal.

Honestly, when doing Zumba, I only keep my FITBIT on and let it log all the activity as just steps. I know I end up burning more than it says, but it keeps me from eating a ton in the evening time. It's like my secret extra deposit of calories.

I just kept my fitbit on the calorie difference from the wii and fb wasnt so different, going to try my hrm aswell tonight see if that is any massive difference.

Both! You get the calories from the HRM and I got 6000 steps towards my daily goal doing it yesterday. Oddly enough the calories on the fitbit were almost identical but I will still wear both! If you want a fitbit friend I'm zarazarazara@yahoo.co.uk (my steps are low because I only got a new fitbit yesterday! Mine broke) zara x
