Im confused....how does a pickle have no calories but a cucumber does??

    Because of rounding on nutrition labels. Pickles do have calories but it is a very negligible amount.

    U.S. FDA regulations allow the "calorie free label "if the food contains less than 5 calories per reference amount customarily consumed and per labeled serving"

    Look at a jar of pickle spears instead of tiny slices, and you'll see that each one has around 5 calories for dill. And whole pickles have more than that.
